If there is one thing that has been going on too much it is scams. Scams that are both offline and online have been the number one cause for people losing money in past few years. Some time ago the internet has been a breeding ground for different kinds of scams that range from you winning the lottery to people having distant relatives from the UK that just died and left you inheritance money. If avoiding scams and detecting it is easy people getting victimized by would not number to thousands if not millions already.
